15/12/2011 KALAPOOSANAM VIRUTHU - Mr. Pon.Thavanayagam, retired principle from Karaitivu obtained the KALAPOOSANAM AWARD for his excellent work in Tamil poem, drama, literature etc for his last 50 years service in Tamil language and society. We, KARAITIVU, are very proud of this achievement and we wish him very best to achieve more and more awards in future. We further feel that this award is a milestone and special one since this is 50th year Golden Jubilee for his service in Tamil. Mr. Pon. Thavanayagam's recent publication is "Inpa Thamizhum Iniya Nilamum" published in 2010 in Batticaloa as well as at Karaitivu.
